Thank you!   Every day, your student benefits from LPIE's investments in our schools.  It is never too late to support your student large or small!

Project LPIE Reception – Save the Date
Please join us on May 16 at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center in the Community Room (exact time to follow).  The winning projects will be announced and entries will be on display for viewing.

Project LPIE is an opportunity to recognize the talented Acalanes High School students for their project-based learning with a unique community twist! The students complete in any of the 13 categories that showcase their skills both within and outside the curriculum. Project judging is done by professional business people with extensive expertise in the various categories – from art to entrepreneurship to music to acting to community service to computer programming.

The program is coordinated by Lafayette Partners in Education and Acalanes High School with support by the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Lafayette Library and Learning Center.

LPIE Student Artwork on Display Around Town
The “Luck of the Draw” elementary school student artwork is currently on exhibit at Papillon through April 30. One piece of art from each grade at each school was chosen at random during last year’s LPIE Art Fair and is now available for the community to enjoy. A special thank you to Anthony Ruiz at FastFrame of Lafayette for donating his expert framing of the students’ artwork.

The Power of Your LPIE Donation

posted Nov 11, 2013, 7:39 PM by Stanley PTA Webmaster

Last year LPIE was very fortunate to exceed our annual fundraising goal. With this additional money we fully funded our reserve, ensuring LPIE would be in a position to fund important programs and services for our children regardless of potential fluctuations in our annual fundraising.

Now that our reserve is funded, we have more money to allocate to the classroom.  This year we increased our funding to K-12 students by $457,000 and every grade-level is experiencing the benefits, such as:

· $155,000 to double science instruction in grades K-5
· $140,000 additional funding for new technology in grades K-8
· $100,000 additional funding for 1:1 iPad Program at Acalanes
· $20,000 for Engineering/Robotics and CAD elective courses at Stanley
· $20,000 for Math Section and Support at Stanley
· $6500 additional funding for Writing for Mastery at Acalanes

As an educational foundation, we are committed to furthering our impact on just that – education. The more we raise, the more innovative and impactful enhancements our children will receive. We still have $900,000 to raise to meet our $2.3 million fundraising goal. Please help us get there by making a donation in support of your child’s education.

Upcoming Events:
· LPIE General Board Meeting on Thursday, November 14 at 7 p.m. in the Stanley Library. All are welcome and encouraged to attend these monthly meetings.
· LPIE Annual Crab Feed, Saturday, January 25 at Oakwood Athletic Club
