Please join me tomorrow at 8:45 in the Stanley Library for our final PTA general assembly meeting.  Among the topics will be our annual Honorary Service Awards, where we acknowledge some of our amazing parent volunteers.  We will also have a brief  re-cap of our 2012-2013 school year, along with a few “coming attractions” for the upcoming 2013-2014 year.  I look forward to seeing you then!

 

 

What:     8th Grade Stanley Middle School Promotion Ceremony

When:    Thursday, June 6, 2013, 5:30-6:30pm, (students arrive by 5:00pm)

Who:      Everyone is invited

Attire:     Girls - dresses, no strapless (prom style and formal gowns are inappropriate)

              Boys - slacks & dress shirts, ties and Jackets optional (tuxedos are inappropriate)

Information about how to order this photo will be mailed to you in the formal invitation.

 

 

Immediately following the Ceremony all newly promoted students are invited to attend to celebrate in...

 

Event:     Sugarland (student voted theme party)

What:     A final farewell - dinner, dancing, fun & games with friends!

When:    Immediately following the Ceremony - 6:45pm Check-In (mandatory by 7:00 pm); Prompt pick up at 10:00 pm!

Who:      All 8th Grade Students (only) are invited - $30 ticket was purchased at Wildcat Days

 

Attire & Details:  Ceremony attire - Once students enter the party they are expected to stay the entire time in the designated area. All school dance rules are strictly enforced. (Special circumstance?  Contact Toni McShane)

Is your child interested in helping serve lunch next year?  Students volunteer one day a week for approximately 20 minutes.  In return they receive a free lunch and 7 Opportunity Knocks hours per trimester. If they are interested please have them pick up an application from the front office.

Parents, are you looking for a fun way to help out at Stanley?  We are looking for parent volunteers to help serve lunch next year.  The commitment is 1 day every other week and the job takes about 45 minutes.

Calling all 6th Grade parents!  The annual end-of-year 6th Grade picnic is the afternoon of June 4th at Stanley.  This is a really fun event on campus filled with indoor and outdoor games, activities and of course a delicious picnic.  To make the event a success we are looking for parent volunteers to help our 6th Graders celebrate the end of a fantastic year.
