Hello Stanley Parents –

This past week was a big week for me and all the other math and science nerds of the world – March 14 (3.14) was national Pi day.  For some fun Pi facts and activities, go to http://pizone.org/pi/index.html.  Did you know that this day is also Albert Einstein’s birthday?  (Funny coincidence!)

Einstein once said, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”

If you have never been to one of our PTA meetings/Friday Forums, I would like to encourage you to try something new this week and join us on Friday at 8:45 am in the Stanley library.  We will be approving our new Executive Board for next year and will be talking about all the fun things that the PTA is going to help fund to make Stanley even better.

Also on Friday, the Las Trampas Creek PTA Council is hosting its 32nd annual “Advocacy Day” at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville.  In prior years, this has been held in Sacramento, so this year we are lucky to have it be so close. The theme is “Legislative Challenges Facing Education.”  If you are interested in going to this, you can register online: Register Online Now! Just turn in your receipt to us in the office, and we will reimburse you for the cost of attending.

So whether it is going to Advocacy Day or attending our PTA meeting, or anything else – try something new this week.  It keeps you young!

Best,
Becky Kenney
PTA President, 2011-2012
